Yesterday was our So Cal AMPS Zoom meeting so I did more work on my WC 3/4 Ton, including finishing up getting the basic OD paint airbrushed on. Steve Munsel From Value Gear showed me how he makes his items at at AZ AMPS meeting late last year, so I followed his example using Milliput to make a tarp for the windshield and a rolled tarp onto the fender. It wasn’t too difficult to do.

So you know the chap from Value Gear - that's cool. I have a few bags of their stuff and it seems pretty good.

He lives here in Arizona an hour or two’s drive away. He shows up at our monthly AMPS meetings frequently. We’ve met a few times at the meetings and when he shows up to the IPMS events, and he does recognize me now. I’ve provided him with a bit of reference stuff for some future projects hopefully

Whilst waiting for some bits to dry on the Spitfire I picked up this Eduard P-39 that I started back in 2024...



First job was to spend an hour fettling the clear parts so I could close the doors - I really don't want them open, I like to have my aircraft buttoned up so you can see the lines of the design. I finally got them to fit although it's not 100% perfect (the doors don't match the contours of the fuselage). Annoyingly I got a bit of glue over the windows that I'm going to have to sand out.



Next up is sorting out the seams and tidying up the PPP I used to fill the gaps in the wing roots.

Two Monogram F-14A's
The one at the top has been in prog for a couple years longer than the one at the bottom. The masking I did on the exhaust needs re-done at this point. That's called negative modeling.
The one at the bottom is my current project.
