Re: Latest Acquisitions - pt.3
Thanks, Mike! I’d really like to see the difference between polished and matte aluminums. That’s quite a good selection you have! Bravo!

Re: Latest Acquisitions - pt.3
I won this at last week’s IPMS Phoenix monthly raffle during the meeting.

It looks to be a clone of the old Tamiya kit, which is one of the lesser regarded 1/48 A-10 kits. And this one has some soft detailing in some areas, particularly the gun. But 3D stuff to the rescue! I have already found some free files online to print up a replacement gun, as well as the engine fans, and a HUD frame.

While not the much larger Renwal visible one, but not a thousand bucks, either!

Cool. I have the newer color boxing of that kit. I ordered an engine data plate and a decal for when I get around to building and mounting it.

Got it here: https://shop.eaa.org/products/pratt-whi ... data-plate

The assembled crankcase with the cylinders looks to be around 4” in diameter. It is 1/8 scale
Oh, that may have to be gotten, assuming it gets finished.

Cool magazine cover of National Geographic. I’ll have to look for it.
