So I got to a point where I just wanted to get this thing done. It's been on my bench since November. My chipping didn't go as well as planned, my own fault. I should have sprayed it with hairspray again before painting. I think it dried way too long, and the paint wouldn't budge. Oh well. It wouldn't be that chipped up anyway since these planes were fairly new during WW2. It's not accurate, and it's not my best work. Not my worst either. The kit itself is decent. Has a few minor fit issues, but not horrible. Lots of detail. First kit I've built from ICM. I would buy another.

I threw some nose art on it from my spares bin. Figured why not.

On the shelf with some other WW2 bombers. Which is getting kind of cramped. Anyone have any suggestions on how to hang models on a slanted/sloped wall?! I live in a cape cod style house, and my room is at the back of the house, so one of the walls is slanted. I'm still trying to figure out a good secure way to hang them on that wall so they sit up against it.

Very, very nice! Well done.

Very nice, Keyda! Ive always loved the lines of the Invader bomber. I had my eye a Revell Nightfighter version a while back but missed out on it. Oh well...

Turned out great. The weathered/mottled finish on the wing pic looks great. Ya 1/48 scale bombers chew up shelf space quick!
Thanks,

Very nice finish! Looks like an Invader to me :hmm:  Nice to see one in the seldomly worn OD WWII scheme.

ICM aircraft kits are nice. I’ve built a few of their single seat fighters and have enjoyed each one.

Man that's a nice display - you guys from the US made some seriously nice looking twins in WWII and I love all of those.

Superb work on the Invader, you've really done a lovely job on it - I love the nose art. And thanks again for posting up pictures I can actually see- I really appreciate it. :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:

Thanks guys! Back to work after surgery, and again back to the I have no damn time to be at the bench. I'm a little irritated, got that nice room all set up, and I'm never in there. :headslap:
