After the war didn't the Russians bury/dismantle planes to avoid paying for them later?

I'm not sure but that wouldn't surprise me at all given the politics of the time.

It's not actually a captured Ruskie Spitfire, we actually gave them about 2000 of them in WWII under lend-lease - a fact I didn't know until recently.
Well that makes two of us on not knowing. Why I thought captured when they were Allies, I don't know. lol
