Ah... Yeah something to watch out for. Mind you, with that great long nose on it is an F-14 a bad tail-sitter?

Don’t remember how bad of a tail sitter it was but it’s definitely a tail sitter…

Thanks -- I am anxiously waiting for Tamiya to release their F-14A in 1/72... Unfortunately, all my Tomcat decals are 1/48 :headslap:

I got a set of red acrylic paint markers off of Amazon. The brand is called "Overseas"... They differ from the AK markers in that they have a pointy end and a dome/half circle shaped applicator at the other end. I found to my delight that the dome end does a beautiful job applying consistent red edges to gear doors. It's still a tad lighter than insignia red, but it's a good compromise to my eye.

Nicely done.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Looking tight! Very well done! Years before AK, Gundam builders were using those types of markers. I have some basic color kits that were 5 for 15 bucks shipped. The Gundam line has 2.0 mm tips for finer panel details. I use their silver for engine details. I feel AK which I have purchased are essentially rebadged Gundam style markers!

I'm excited to see those red paint markers succeed like that! :shoutout: Painting those red edges on Navy birds is a huge pain in the butt. I'm going to order those and start eyeing that Monogram twin-seater Skyhawk in my stash! I'd like to add that one to the display!
