Beautiful work! Interesting to see that the Yorktown was hit in close to the same spot at Midway. Although that bomb was an instant fuze contact bomb and mowed down the gunners from the two 1.1” mounts aft of the island. The Coral Sea bomb was armor piercing and went down several decks before it detonated.

Indeed she was a tough one... by the way there is a fantastic documentary on youtube of a recent dive on the wreck ...they found amaizing stuff..plus a superb panoramic view of the inside poster...and a Car...Admiral's Car...
