That's a fab bit of reworking Carlos - I do like that Camo.

Bruce & Stuart, thank you!

Stuart, the camo was somewhat common at the end of the Normandy campaign and for the breakout drive across France. 2nd and 3rd armored divisions had their armored vehicles camouflaged en masse at that time.

What's intriguing is that the reworking actually benefits or appears to benefit not only from your increased skill level but from the usage of some of the original surface as a base. This is really interesting to watch and I'm truly grateful you've posted this thread.

Thanks Bruce! The old base paint does have the added benefit of texture compared to the original smooth plastic.

All of this work is top shelf, Carlos! I'm really excited to be following along here with you! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity. I'm taking notes here too. I think this additive, reductive work will help with linen on WWI aircraft finishes too.

A belated thank you on this Bruce. Since I had my airbrush out the other day, I decided to do the black camo bands on my M5 overhaul

the next day was another paint session I went and painted the sandbags on the frontal area

Next up I need to add the gloss coat for the decals and in preparation for weathering…

Thanks Tom! I’ve been around real aircraft longer in my life, thanks to my dad… but I was closer to and spent more time with real military ground vehicles in those fewer years.

Thanks Mike! Those sandbags were just a random bag of resin AM sandbags that I found in a shop and are perfect for this sort of thing.
