I speak with Carlotta who is in Paris every day. She just said that summer vacation is over as the city was filled by people again.
I hope you had a wonderful vacation, Kari. All the best.

When are you planning to visit Paris / Europe ? If and when you come to Paris, you could make a one day trip to Belgium as well... Take the Thalys train from Paris to Brussels, takes only 1 hour and 22 minutes. I would meet you up in Brussels and we could for example visit the Brussels air museum ( https://www.brussels-air-museum.be/en/ ), the Atomium ( https://www.atomium.be/ ) etc etc. Eat some Belgian fries (that the French have hijacked as their invention ) with a glass or two of Belgian beers. Before sending you back to Paris ! :-)

I would absolutely love to do all you have described, Kari! Her lease runs through September 8, then she goes to Rome than Ischia. She started a dossier on an apartment though, so let’s see if this pans out. Stay positive and strong, my friend.

The thought of something like this makes me hungry and thirsty at 5:30 am!

Re: Junkers F13 Floatplane by MiniArt 1:48
What has kept me away from this build, is the float gear and the rather complex network of struts anchored to the fuselage underside and wing roots. But today I decided to take the bull by the horns and fix them...
Took all in all a few hours, had to take a break every 5 minutes, not to loose my temper..
First step to get the floats in place, hoping that I can still align them when more struts are attached.

Next part was the ladders, these really made the construction quite more robust.

The horizontal struts really nailed the construction to a really firm float gear.

Next step... Paintbooth...

Congratulations! How does it feel, knowing that this difficult series of construction steps is over?
