The Duke Completes Two Armor in August

Post by Duke Maddog »

It's been a slow month for me so far modeling-wise, but I did manage to get these over the finish line:

Modelcollect 1/72 scale Russian BAL-E Coastal Defense System:

And this Shelf Queen, the Pegasus Hobbies 1/72 scale M46 Patton tank in Marine Corps livery:

There's a couple more finished items, feel free to check them out.

Meanwhile, thanks for looking in, comments are welcome!

…and the beat goes on.

Good stuff.

Those turned out nice Mark! The Russian missile vehicle looks nice, but I am a huge fan of the Pershing/Patton family.

I really like the washes you put as a weathering topcoat on those tanks! What is that?

Thank you Lyle!

Thank you Gary! I agree, then again, it's a Marine!

Thank you Impisi!

Thank you Carlos! I agree, I'm also a huge fan of the Pershing/Patton family of tanks. I was beyond thrilled when Pegasus Hobbies released their Pershings and M46 Pattons in 1/72 scale... the first company to ever do so.

Thank you Bruce! That is actually Tamiya weathering powders that i wet down, slathered on the tank,, then removed anything that I didn't like or was too much. I'm still practicing to get it right, but I'm slowly getting better.
