1/48 AH-1Z Viper

Post by Medicman71 »

So the Gundams are taking a back seat while I get some things painted and built for Winter Blitz next January. It's 99% an armor show but usually they have two "aircraft" categories. Next year the two categories are P-51's (I have one built that needs to be painted) and Military Helicopters. SWMBO said that I needed to do a helo for the show. I have three good ones, the Kitty Hawk 1/48 AH-1Z and UH-1Y and the SH-3 Seaking. I'm doing the Viper because I have some aftermarket and decals for it.

Very cool. I'll follow along - I have one of these in the stash and hear good things.
Thanks,
John

Thanks guys! I'm working on the cockpit and I have the pre-painted PE for it.

Bravo! Looks sharp, Mike. That’s quite a bit of well modulated black with some grey, and you pulled it off extremely well.

Those colored PE instrument gauges are awesome. Well done, Mike!

Got the fuselage, tail and exhausts built up. Lots of PE to add still.
