So I needed something to build quickly and I got the Academy 1/144 P-8A Poseidon out. It really was an easy build and in one day I had it pretty much completely built. There's a few places to clean up and then it's ready for painting. I'm probably going to get decals for it later.

Looking good Stuart. Must have nice taxi visibility from the cockpit as opposed to a tail dragger like the Corsair. I don't think I've ever built one of these :bag:

That P-8 looks great. I’m holding out hope they come out in 1/72 scale. I have the P-3 Orion in my stash.

Love the P8 - it's on my wishlist. A 737 with missiles and torpedoes! Take that Southwest Airlines :giggles:

Pax River NAS in Southern Maryland already phased out the P-3 Orion squadron and now have P-8 Poseidon squadron. :lashed:

You never knew about the Russians and the P-39? They loved it and one of their top scoring aces scored more kills flying one than any other Allied ace did in any other type. Alexander Pokryshkin was officially credited with 59 victories plus 6 shared kills. Of his 59 kills, 47 were while he was flying P-39s. The top RAF ace was Johnny Johnson who scored 38 victories while flying Spitfires, and for the US it was Dick Bong with 40 confirmed victories flying P-38s.

Mike got me thinking big birds so....

1/144 Minicraft KC-135R. I've built a lot of Minicraft kits and they normally need some work here and there. This is the best fitting Minicraft kit I've done. Doing this one wheels up.

May crack out the KC-46A Pegasus I have in the stash and crank out some tankers!
Thanks,

Cool subject! Do you have a KC-10 and KC-97 to round out your tanker collection?
