I’ve ordered these items off of eBay recently. First up is an interior parts sprue from the Tamiya M113 that I will use on my Tamiya M577. The 577 kit does not include any interior…

Then I picked up these items, a decal sheet and some old Koster early type exhaust stacks for the long sidelined semi completed 1/48 Monogram He-111 in my shelf of doom. I did a bit of research and found that I can cobble together markings from this sheet for a Battle of Britian He-111H-3. The exhausts were needed for the H-3 type.

So sometime late this year or early next year I will get on the He-111 “Child of Doom” project. And the M577 as well ;)

Steve is a good guy. He frequently comes to our AZ AMPS meetings here and is working on his upcoming releases when he attends.
He's a super nice guy. I finally got to meet him in person at Winter Blitz back in February. We had been chatting occasionally before that.

I have put the Fokker D.VII aside for a moment or two, and thought why not start with another Junkers, the Ju-52 to be precise and the new Airfix kit.

I'm just wondering, how can you still find 1:72 kits you don't already have or have built or or ??

- Kari
Thank you Kari! Yes, occasionally I can. I have to go with some of the more esoteric companies though, but overall, there's still a few out there. And as long as Trumpeter, Meng, Takom and Modelcollect continue to release unique vehicles like these, I'll have something to build.

I agree, Steve is a great guy! I bought a few more things from him at Orangecon this past weekend.

Syrcon 38 was fun. Came home with 1 raffle prize and few kits.

My raffle prize

My acquisitions...

Grabbed this one. No way I'm letting this steal get away for $20

Most of my kits were $20-$25 each

This one I got for $25

Couldn't make up my mind which one to get. Vendor offered me $35 for both. Sold!

The German half track piqued my interest. I wasn’t sure if it was something I’d be interested in. The vendor noticed I had kept coming back to his table two other instances looking at it and offered me a deal to unload it off his sales table.

One thing I did not buy are car kits. A couple tables were asking too much for them when I can get it cheaper at a hobby store or online. There were some older vintage car kits but even they were asking a bit too much. A couple of them were tempting me but I resisted. :giggles:

Oh yeah… watching Bruce build his biplane made me buy what I grabbed at Syrcon. :whiteflag: :giggles: :giggles: :giggles: :giggles:
