1/48 Mt.Home F-15E Double Eagles completed

Post by jelliott523 »

Finally, without any further delay, both of the F-15E's are completed. These were done mainly OOB, the only additional items used on one of the builds were Two Bobs Decals and Hasagawa's Weapons Set D. Sorry for this being a little pic heavy!
The first aircraft was done as a representative of the 389th FS, Thunderbolts:

The second aircraft is a representation of the 391st FS, Bold Tigers:

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Now they are two superb renditions of a great looking aircraft.

The fit and finish is stunning – I love that satin sheen coming through on the pictures. You’ve also done a blinding job of the metal areas around the engines with the heat staining – cracking job! :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:

Cheers

Thanks for all of the wonderful comments! They took a lot longer than I had hoped, but I am extremely happy with how they turned out.

:shoutout: I don't know how I missed this pair of birds when you posted them? :hmm: VERY nicely done! :dogwag:
