I can relate to that issue with the seam lines Joe! I am building three cars that had the same type of issue. It was a chore getting them sanded down. I know you can do it. I also commend you on getting the new headlights for this; it does make this look far better!

Thanks Mark! I didn't know that you built car models...or are you talking military vehicles? Thanks for the good word on the headlight buckets. I got the idea from a fellow modeler from another forum but he used a freekin' nice ass Franklin Mint die cast to rob the parts from. I priced one of those things and that was just too much even for me.

Wait... He robbed them from a Franklin Mint die cast auto? Yikes! That's just wrong and crazy.

Yeah and the one he robbed it from was NOT a cheap one either. In his defense, however, he is giving that thing a real work over.

Really amazing how those old molds lasted so long. Great job on cleaning them up! :shoutout:

Thank you Bruce! Man do I ever hear you on that count with the molds. That's the way Revell operated for a long time and it's unfortunate really. They are getting better with some of their aircraft kits it seems like in the 32nd scale realm though. Maybe there is hope................

I'm getting ready to go to Kansas for this next week. I'll be taking the body with me with some clean up tools in order to keep progress moving along but I decided to post some of the progress since Friday. I did manage to smooth out a lot of the mold line issues on the whole front clip.

For instance, the mold lines on the top of the fenders are now gone and I'm filling in those nasty hood hinge cut outs:

The upside down "L" 's are gone from the front of the fenders on the sides:

and the disgusting seam line between the headlamp opening and the hood line are now gone as well.

Still got some work to do to the hinge openings but here's little bit more clear view:

After you get a primer coat on, you'll probably find more. I always find more on mine. :headslap:

Ouch! that body moulding was in a pretty bad way - looks like you're beating it into submission though!

Great work on the Chassis - It looks superb!
