Good to be in on this one guys.
As far as a 1946 TBM goes, in late 1945 the USN switched from the geometric symbols on the tails and wings of carrier based aircraft to indicate carrier air groups, to one and two letter designators in place of the "geo symbols". This would have been in effect. And weapons likje the Tiny Tim, Gargoyle, Pelican, and Bat guided bombs would likely have seen use in combat.
"Surely I have made my meaning plain? I intend to avenge myself upon you, Admiral. I have deprived your ship of power, and when I swing 'round, I intend to deprive you of your life."

img]http://smiley.nowdararpour.ir/other1/51.gif[/img] Well, the turret is done. Image

I spent about a total of six hours masking and working to get the whole assembly together. the seat part of the turret is about the most fiddly. I had a pe sight ring but that broke off and vanished before it hit the floor.
Anyway here are some pics.

the turret glazing is a pretty good press fit. And now for my disclaimer..."It would have looked better if I hadn't had to fight my grand kids all week end." I did some touch up to the carriage and the trunnion supports but all in all I am satisfied.

Here we go. I am getting ready to close up the fuse and see where I have made my subtle goofs. If oit closes up with out any problems then I am ok. I thought I would lay some wash inside but that seems to be something that would not show when closed up due to the tight spaces inside. So far it has been a pretty enjoyable build and no issues other than my involvement.

I hope you like the Torpedo.

Dude, that is awesome. Will you have trouble getting the masking off the rear turret once its sealed up?
You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

No not really because the dome is just a good tight fit and not glued in.

Paul, that is spectacular. Nice details.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

You would be surprised at how easy it is the take the tape off with the fuselage is glued up. Just rotate the turret to expose said masking.
