Mitsubishi MU-2J
Re: Mitsubishi MU-2J
Still working on the masking. About 80% will be covered with masking tape. It is a boring chore but better then getting overspray.

Well, at least you have that chore behind you now.

And more paint is on. Blue over white is easy. It is Tamiya xf-4 thinned with Gunze self levelling thinner. Difference in colour is because of my new daylight lamp. I wanted to show the difference.

That does indeed look good - that light makes a big difference.
How do you find that airbrush cleaning pot - does it help?

I can't answer for him, but I have one too and it is a great little tool. Of course, mine has been overused and so I need to replace it. Hopefully someday...
That blue is looking awesome. What a sharp little plane this is going to be.

The cleaning pot is very handy because it also doubles as a stand for my airbrush. And it is a more elegant solution then just spraying into the exhaust of my spraybooth.
I did my last masking for this build today. The parts where the de-icing boots come.

Next up is black paint.

Very nice! I saw several of these kits at the model show back in April. I almost got one.

After the liquid mask disaster and clean up it did some detail painting. All done with a brush with Revell Aqua and GamesWorkshop paints. The wheels and props need another layer of black.
