I've always liked the Merkava, it's so angular a cool looking. I purchased this Hobby Boss kit a couple months back and have been wanting to dig into it since. I don't know how accurate the kit is and don't care. I do know it's missing the ball and chain armor on the turret rear and that there are PE ones I could get for it but again, don't care.
It kit went together quickly and with very little filling, in fact I really didn't need to fill anything but ran some Mr Dissolved Putty along the seams anyway.
I sprayed a black base coat and will add IDF sand to it.
Here it is so far.
More to come

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting the head off a Hydra, two more take it’s place.

Good looking vee-hickel!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I've got this one q'd up next. It looks like a nice kit despite its low parts count. It does need a bit of attention from my perspective but filler around the seams looks like the majority of it.
Can't wait to see your paint job.

Actually there are a lot of tight looking IDF vehicles out there. I'm tempted to build one this year.

Thanks guys,
I really like IDF equipment and was hoping to score that 1/72 Italeri Magach 6 a couple months ago with the Italeri new releases. The low parts count is fine with me on this build. I'm interested in the paint and finish.

Here is the Merkava after spraying the IDF Sand. Now I need to do some fine painting on the tools, tracks, vision slits Etc.

Nice progress on your Merk!

Quite impressive detail for a 1/72 kit! I almost coundn't know the difference if I only saw the last post and you never mentioned the scale.
Plan to do some bit of weathering on it?
