Here how it looked 1 minute after I had added it.

I can however now, 1,5 hrs later, see that is has sunked nicely in the gap, but it will probably need one more layer..
Still slightly soft, so no sanding yet..

Noh, the edge was good and the entire "front" joint was also (originally) very tight. It almost snapped into place without any gap what so ever.
