I have been wanting to get this plane for awhile. I'm following this with interest.

I also have two more Badgers, a Bear, a Shinmeywa, a Martin Mariner, two P-3 Orions, a Blackjack and several other large aircraft as well. Hopefully someday I'll get my workbench cleaned off enough to start some of them.

Yes Vance , this little fliyng boat that could fit the fuselages of B-17 and he-177 at the same time inside ..ok not so little

Wishing to see the mariner under wip soon Maddog the new minicraft version are one of my kits in sight for future.

From the top the Shinmeywa, mavis, sunderland , madge and the Do-24. out of the madge an mavis all are under wip but actually freezed

Added the courtain rear with milliput



The bomb trail rails does not fit perfect between the inner and the outer wings parts , so i added a segmement on tthe inner part

start to scratchbuild missing decks and bulkheads and detail the original pieces:

The kit includes three way to have the pilots main IP : normal raised details , PE part and decals .. i used the first option.
Also added the rear of instruments





Test fitting with the cockpoit, already a first strike of humbrol 78 after primer was done



Metal manipulators i added to the winch



Turrets assembly and painting

Very well done on that detail BSY. I'm enjoying this thread immensely. As for starting the Mariner, it might be awhile. I have so many other models waiting to be done it will be some time before I have space on the workbench. Maybe in a few months.

I have been looking out for the Mariner as well. My late grandfather could tell some harrowing stories about failed take off in overloaded Mariners in Dutch New Guniea. He flew as a passenger (royal marine corp) but hated it when they flew that plane. Quite a few crashed.

As for your Sunderland, you seem to go all out on this one. Cool!
