Academy P-47N

Post by Firesmacker »

I'm totally bogged down on my current builds so I busted out this nice kit that a friend sent me for the last SS GB we did on a different forum I'm a part of:

Pit is done:

For the first time ever I decided to detail the wheel bays:

This one should go pretty quickly since the only A/M I used was seat belts. The box art doesn't show the decals I will be using but I'm going with "2 Big And Too Heavy/Short Snorter"

If these turn out to be typical Academy decals, I have a nice set from Bombshell that I will use. I may use those anyway depending on how I feel at decaling time...

Thanks for looking, as always, any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Regards,

Jeff

This kit should go together nicely for ya

Are you gonna go crazy like I did and wire up the engine?

Nope, no craziness this time around. About the only way I'm going to step outside the lines is with the NMF. I have a few different brands and shades that I will experiment with. I've only ever used Alclad so most likely I'll be trying something a little different.

Cool! Nice to see you back at it Jeff.
It's up to you how much money you want to spend and how many new words you want to create "correcting" something.

:bye: Howdy! nice project and welcome back.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Nice pit Jeff. I built this kit last year and I loved it. I look forward to your progress.

Can you fly this plane and land it? Surely you can't be serious? I am serious, and don't call me Shirley
