The cockpit is my absolute favorite part in my build projects..
Unfortunately so many of my builds have stalled totally after the cockpit is ready, but this time I will not let that happen!

Still not sure what or how to do with the seat belt. Scratch build or using the decals.

The gages on the IP came out just as beautiful as the radios! I would look into getting some AM fabric belts for this build they would look 1000x better than the decal belts.

Thanks Clint, indeed an AM would be the absolutely best, but would not want to invest in AM stuff in this build, so an option to try to scratchbuild some better looking belts would be an option. I agree, decals don't look good, especially in this scale..

Apply the seat belt decals over some appropriate thickness of paper, cut them out, then place them. Scratch up any hardware from wire and foil. I like to save the beaver gauge foil off the tops of wine bottles.

What he wrote—paper or foil using a source photo for the design will make a great looking pair of belts....

Yeah I'm with these guys on either fabricating your own belts or buying aftermarket belts. I could see using decals for seat belts with 1/72nd scale builds but there's not much chance you'd feel good about it after the fact unless you went with belts that had some scale thickness and depth to them.

Carlos suggestion is very good one, the details of the decals are not that bad if they would get some thickness into them and then some wash to reduce the "decalish" look they have.
