No worries at all Lyle. I tend to build and paint each module of the model one part at a time. I study each part and paint/ weather it accordingly. All these small pieces is what adds up into the big picture.

Been on life-stuff today and tomorrow for the better parts of the day. I do plan on taking another go at the go at the motor. Do you shade with gray, white, etc.?

Oh man, I've always wanted or build a Herbie! I'll follow this. I have two Beetle models in my stash; both are missing a wheel or two. I do need to get those decals for this. If I can; I'll join in also.

I backed up a few squares and will be repainting some things. Paints came yesterday. May as well try to do it right.

While the decals cure for a bit on the 109, I am cobbling the engine together. I am appreciative of Tamiya's quality, but sheesh....old eyes and stiff hands are a struggle.

The monster engine is done...I think. Almost 1:1 size, too!

Terrified that it wont fit. I almost never get all the pieces/parts in place.

I like it! Looks fantastic! Did you fire it up to see how well it runs? :giggles:

Looks very good Lyle, as a matter of fact so good that I humbly & slightly edited your pictures whitebalance and now they give even more justice for the engine!!
