I completely got sidetracked in starting my Group Build back in September. With that said, I have pushed the start date starting in Mid-October (October 20th 2019 to be exact) and it will run until the end of February of next year.


Here's the Group Build Badge:

The rules are simple.

Must be any form of racing vehicle; be it Dirt Track (Sprints, Rally, Modified Dirt Track racers), NASCAR, Indy racers, Dragsters, Funny Cars, Motocross Dirt Bikes/ Rally Racing Motorcycles/Dragster bikes, Monster Trucks, 4X4 Racers, etc... in any era in the history of racing Motorsports.

Any kit not started or any kit started must be partially finished - at least 1/4 done.
You can build OOB or go crazy with detailing. Aftermarket parts is allowed.


If you're eager to start your engines, post your choice(s) and let's go to the races!!!

Started working on some of the kit....

Trimmed out opening of inner wheel well fenders for Drag version

Removed running boards and front & rear bumper tabs for drag version on chassis

Front and rear fenders assembled. Rear fenders are trimmed out as per instruction guide for Drag version.

Just when I thought things were going great. Blower for drag version has ZERO detailing!!! WTF!?!?!?! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Time to find a replacement blower at BNL Resins. :bored: :bored: :bored:


Just for the heck of it, I decided to assemble the stock straight 6 engine. Will paint at a later time.

Unless anyone has a spare blower in their spare parts bin, it would be appreciated.

What’s wrong with the kit blower? Can you enhance it yourself? Drill out the intake and things like that?

No detailing on face. I could try to drill holes. Not sure how perfect or straight it’ll come out though.

Well, if you’re gonna buy an aftermarket scoop, it doesn’t hurt to try hollowing it out... worst case you get a little practice for the next one.

Tried to hollow out the holes on the blower. Just as I predicted on my ability to do so.
