Not to mention that when the Wild Weasel program was started in 1965, the technolog was in its’ infancy. The threat detector scopes just basically gave a bearing to the radar emitter. The rest was up to the hunter/killer team aircrews. The weapons available at the time required a direct attack upon the site.

Apologies Gents - I've not had a chance to start this yet.

Life happens. No need to apologize. This is only a hobby, not a way to earn a living.

Very true - I'll get to it - but I might get the Sparkvark done for the MM GB first. I've also a need to build a few Red Arrow aircraft too, and a Steampunk Spitfire for my daughter...

A steampunk Spitfire… sounds intriguing…

Yeah, my daughter wrote me a semi-steampunk based short story for Father's day, where an RAF pilot flying a red painted Spitfire Floatplane went on a search for a clockwork Kraken. It was pretty good, and made me think I'd like to build her the Spitfire - so I've picked up a KP Spitfire mk.V floatplane and will attempt to build it and put it on a base - I may even add a few extra struts etc. just to make it more steam/diesel punk.
