Oh nice! WnW is the top of the line brand for WW1 aircraft subjects. What else does she have? :hmm:

Last I looked she had put “The Duelists” on eBay. I’ll check to see how she priced it. She’s set her prices at the high end of the WnW market value, but all kits are negotiable. Seller: Alihal

The fantastic Keith Carradine/Harvey Keitel film "The Duellists"? One of my favorites.

Wow… more expensive than I thought on the WnW kits. No big surprise since WnW are no more. They are highly sought after if one is willing to spend for it.

Oh yes, indeed—directed by Ridley Scott—made before he saw Star Wars and made Alien in response to trending science fiction and big box office and cemented his place in film history. The Duellists is quite a beautiful film visually geared towards Barry Lyndon in many ways. From an excellent Conrad story, highly recommended reading.

When I checked out Academy’s 1/32 Sopwith Camel I learned this was a nice kit based off Hobby Boss—and a 1/32 version of the Revell I am now building! Unfortunately it does carry over quite a few of the issues I am currently having so the only other large scale version is the WnW. It’s definitely a buyer’s market not a seller’s one so it is possible to strike a bit of a deal. Eighty-five bucks was the kit price ten years ago; her prices are double the original costs but the actual market value is what the buyer says it is.

I’m thinking about getting a compass cutter and A4 sized sheets of Tamiya tape to make some roundel masks. I would rather try out ideas on this older kit including that one before I transfer any to another. Plus, it’s called having fun. I’d like to have fun. Let’s see where this leads.

The Peter Jackson "Miliitary Treasures" Documentary on Youtube is amazing—I was unable to link this using the "youtube" button here. Any idea why?
