Looks very crispy Stuart!

Thanks Kari!

No masking here - Just carefully painted. One of the advantages of nit using an airbrush (there has to be some..! )

One suggestion on the tracks- after the track color base coat, do a serious amount of the bare metal colors for dry brushing. The desert sand and dust really do scour the track links during driving.
Thanks Carlos!

Great tip - I'll do that. I have quite a few metallic enamels.I have to say all this weathering does go over my head a bit - Hopefully I won't wreck the build with it :bag:

Cheers all!

That is an excellent reference photo Bruce. Thanks for posting it!

You are most welcome, my friend! I recall you posted some excellent color frames of Panzer IIs earlier in the thread and was not sure if you included any black-and-white with those.

Thanks Bruce!

That's a great reference photo, alas it tells me that I've put the cross in the wrong place :headslap:

That's the only criticism I have of this kit - The decal placement guide is crap! I hope the Panzer III I've ordered is better.

It all depends... which Panzer III kit did you order?

That'll be this one...

To be honest it's not a big complaint - there are so few decals to put on it that it's easy enough to figure out.I just need to make better use of references.

Ok, that is their new and improved Panzer III kit. It’s been out for quite a few years. But it is much better than their original Mk.III from the early 70s.
You should have no worries there.

Cool! It'll be interesting to see how it compares to the older kits!
