Pretty Water lake, Sapulpa, Ok

I have been taking a photography class as a refresher. I have been learning quite a bit more than I knew from the days of film. We went on our first field trip last night to get a feeling for composition and one of the tings that I learned is that I am not as young as I was 49 years ago and my eyes are not as sharp nor the limbs as nimble but I did gather some respectable pics from the evening's doings.
I would like to share them with you.

Great pictures Paul !

To take a picture of a sunset can be challenging. Either too short or long exposure, making the sun right but everything else under exposured or the opposite, the sun is over exposured (a white overburned spot) and everything else fine... Your sunset pictures are very nicely balanced!

Hi Paul,

Thanks so much for sharing these (and I especially love anything to do with photography anyway). I think you have some cracking shots there, there's a couple I really like, and you did a fine job of getting the exposure right on that sunset - the sky is stunning.

As it was a composition learning exercise, I could offer one or two suggestions if you wanted them, but if not - cracking good work. Like Bruce said though, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts about it, and I'd be interested to know why you're taking a course (because I'm nosey).

My earlier comment of "Nice." I've been thinking about that. Nice does cover it. I enjoy a well crafted, "pretty" photo. I, too, will try to compose things. Not sure what my process is, though. But, you have to love digital cameras, though. I have a 32gb card in my Nikon (camera of champions, by the way...Thomas). You can take pictures until you are blind and looks for the perfect ones. Not so easy with film and a lot less expensive.
