Rufe (tamiya, 1/48)

Post by CallSignOWL »

Built OOB, this was a quick and easy build for my IPMS club's theme of the month. This month: on the water.

While lacking detail by today's standard, this 80's kit fit very well and went together in only an evening. Acrylic MM paint dressed her up, and while I tried to get a faded effect on the panels, I think I need a bit more practice ;)

as always comments welcome!!

Great work there Owl. But the floatplane variant of the Zero was a "Rufe", not a "Zeke" ;)

Well, you just gave me a good idea for "Weekend Madness" this year if it happens.

Like this a lot and such a quick build.

That is really a nice build, Owl....your work on the panels is quite nice, too!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I was worried that the wash was too stark in comparison to the light colored paint
