Built OOB, this was a quick and easy build for my IPMS club's theme of the month. This month: on the water.
While lacking detail by today's standard, this 80's kit fit very well and went together in only an evening. Acrylic MM paint dressed her up, and while I tried to get a faded effect on the panels, I think I need a bit more practice
as always comments welcome!!

Great work there Owl. But the floatplane variant of the Zero was a "Rufe", not a "Zeke"

Well, you just gave me a good idea for "Weekend Madness" this year if it happens.

Like this a lot and such a quick build.
Getting an education was a bit like getting a communicable sexual disease. It made you unsuitable for a lot of jobs, then you had the urge to pass it on

I have that one in the stash in the motorised version. I hope it come out just as good as yours although I doubt I will finish it that quick.

Can you fly this plane and land it? Surely you can't be serious? I am serious, and don't call me Shirley

That is really a nice build, Owl....your work on the panels is quite nice, too!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I was worried that the wash was too stark in comparison to the light colored paint
