Civil War Messerschmit | Academy | 1:48

Post by CallSignOWL »

I wanted at least three kits ready to go before I broke out my airbrush, and so I reached in teh the stash...and grabbed THIS
Image

Nothing fancy, just OOB. And of course, things open with the cockpit. Very nice detail here!

Things quickly progressed from here. In almost no time at all, I had me an early -109
Image

the only part of the kit I had fit issues with is the nose insert. It was just too short! A couple strips of plastic lifted things up.

Primed and ready for paint!

all painted up

Very nice, you should crack out the airbrush more often, you look to be a bit of a dab hand at it.
You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Yes, sorry, i forget you guys don't always speak English the way we do here.

be a dab hand (British & Australian)
to be very good at an activity (often + at ) You should get Ann to have a look at that. She's a dab hand at getting stains out of clothes. (often + with ) I hear you're a dab hand with the paintbrush. (= you are good at painting)

Those are some interesting pics Sergio!

I like the camo Owl. Also, the idea of using plastic shims instead of filler on the nose is very good. However, I would suggest to use styrene, that is easier to blend in and attach then the transparent plastic that you used. Styrene can just melt in if you use a liquid glue, then there is no need for filler.
