N/AW-10E Strike Hog

Post by Medicman71 »

So here's my entry into the GB. This is the Hobby Boss N/AW-10 two seat A-10. I'm going to do it as if it was chosen over the F-15E Strike Eagle. I have the Eduard Exterior PE set and I'll use a combination of A-10 and F-35 decals.

Thanks! This was designed with controls in front and back. I modified the rear to more like a back seater that you would see in a Strike Eagle or Super Hornet. I cut the control stick to the base of the grip and added it to the side console. The rear instrument panel is light in details or non-exisitant. I'll see about using decals or something to add detail.

Hey Mike, I’m following along with you too. When you wrote that you’re doing this in certain markings does that mean this will be a ‘What if?’ or something else? I don’t know very much about aircraft after the Fifties so I am curious to learn more! Thanks!!

I have an ancient Airfix Hs129 I’m thinking about building in a bit. That Henschel “Tank Buster” is kind of an early Warthog, isn’t it?

Yes, it was a Warthog in its day. Here's a crappy, old pic of my AMT Hs-129:

Yeah it'll be a "What If". I think I may make it a Lakenheath jet.

Cool, Mike! I'm excited to see and learn from you. And thanks, Gary. I'll be cranking up a thread on the "Ancient Airfix" soon. I like yours a lot. I hope you will post more on my thread when I get crack a lacking.

The A-10 is a highly over-rated aircraft and should be immediately taken out of service!

Just kidding. The A-10 is probably my favorite jet after the F-86, Such effective weapon. The Henchel I have not seen on the forums. Neat a/c.

Looked in Scalehobbyist for the Hs-129. Both are in 1/32 scale and selling for $140 and $160. :wow:
