Note to Self. Finish some of these kits in 2026...
Monogram 1/72 F-4J VF-31
Tamiya 1/48 P-47D Razorback (roadblock -- repaint fuselage insignia -- 2 attempts at decaling did not work)
Tamiya 1/72 ki-61 -- Markings are slowing me down. Need to just finish the dang thing. Might just be a unpainted pre-deployed a/c ...
Monogram Razorback -- I was going to "Just build the fuselage" and mount it on a stand -- basically as use up some decals project, but I liked how it came out so much, I started muddling around with the wings, pondering 3d printing a wing/gun installation/alignment Jig (Look , a squirrel!)
Hasegawa 1/72 N1K2 'George'
Fujimi 1/72 RF-4C Vietnam Recon Bird
Monogram 1/48 F-14A --It's never going to be perfect -- Just finish it!
Tamiya 1/48 P-51D 355 FG WR-F 'Down for Double'. Stalled out filling wing panel lines for the 3rd time. Push through it!
Arma 1/72 Ki-84. Beautiful kit. My Entry for Japanese GB XIV on FSM. Almost there!
Tamiya 1/48 A-1H. Started this years ago. No roadblocks so what the heck?
Hasegeawa 1/72 Fw 190A-8. Little Gem. Thought I could knock it out quickly, buy hey, it's me right?

Congratulations on such a wide variety of projects in different scales, too. I’ve seen some tempting pieces from Arma in 1/72 starting with their P-51, and P-36. What I see here is a great collection of projects all in progress by a single creator. Time as we all know is the deciding factor. With John Eaton’s passing, I imagine all of us took a moment to reflect on how many kits he bought as well as how many he built. It looks like he was building an entire aircraft base, complete with ground crews and vehicles. I think about my own patchwork attempts at completions and feel there is something greater at work, some force of existence maybe, I’m not sure.
Looks like you have some work cut out for you this year!

I think I have about the same amount of unfinished projects from the last few years, not really sure which I will continue with (try to avoid the word "finish") and which will go to the bin. Will see

Oh man I forgot about your B-17. That was coming along nicely.
"It's never going to be perfect -- Just finish it!" - should be the motto for 2026
Thanks John, that’s first on the priority list to finish. This build has been a prime example of the perfect being the enemy of the good. Making a perfect job of a Monogram B-17 is A fools errand…

Thanks Kari. Nice to know someone is in your boat. Now let’s just not both row on the same side…

A decent goal for 2026.
Hopefully a goal that will be realized!
