I finished my Gundam. It was a good experiment. Trying to shade the parts didn’t really work as I wanted. By doing it “part by part” the overall look is not as consistent as I would have wanted it to be. So next time I think I will try to make sub assemblies and paint those.
The uneven finish I think helps a lot. It gives a more worn appearance and makes it look as if some sections have been replaced or serviced more than others.
Just a suggestion, but a simple solid background would really make your figure look better in photos. No distractions away from the subject.
"Surely I have made my meaning plain? I intend to avenge myself upon you, Admiral. I have deprived your ship of power, and when I swing 'round, I intend to deprive you of your life."
This came out so well, but differently than I expected from a Gundam. Less flash, more of a subdued look. Quite realistic. I see this on a diorama base for old and new machines! Good Show, Borg!
