USS-Texas-BB-35-Trumpeter

Post by LyleW »

Got to visit this beautiful lady several years ago.

It comes with several frets oh PE. A LOT of PE. Small PE.

Oh, Lordy what have I gotten myself into!? She was not near Pearl Harbor, so I cannot use battle damage as my excuse. Notice the number to make of each.

You, sir, enjoy getting into trouble! Sometimes etch is good. I can usually work with the olde masters such as Copper State Models and Tom’s Model Works. Newer types evoke a kind of masochistic streak that I don’t have any more.

Oh those old Dreadnought style US Battlewagons have such a charm of their own. :hmm: This will be great to follow.

I love the old Texas, and have been aboard a few times! Now that she's all fixed up, I've got to drive the 200 miles to Galveston and go once more.

Lyle, I'm sure glad to see you tackling this one. :shoutout: I'll be looking forward to your progress!

I don’t think there is enough bourbon in Kentucky to make this “fun”. Nor, enough gebonder. I did order some Gorilla’s Gripthin acrylic. I’ll be surprised if it shows up !

If you want to have a diversion. There are a few you tube videos that friar it home. Hard.

Sounds good… just send the kit and PE my way and I’ll get to work… :giggles:
