I still think you are a wizard. Your reference photos are so much fun to look at.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks, Lyle!
Last night I removed his arms, opened the fuselage and took out the seat platform and seat which I’m using to build the lower half of the figure. That part is roughed out and I am tackling the arm placement tonight.

For some reason, a Monty Python skit/film comes to mind….

Yeah that’s the one Carlos usually posts from Holy Grail! It’s a learning process. Milliput is easy enough to saw and carve so that really helps. I fitted his boots semi-realistically to the controls on the floor. I’m not versed at all in how the Sopwith Camel pilot would grip the control stick—one hand or two? If one hand, what does he do with his other hand?

Arms and the Man
He is seated correctly, chaps.
My mad chaos has passed. Now the work of building better arms remains. Possibly tomorrow. Possibly Sunday.

and still a little chunk missing in that top section

Yeah, Carlos! You make me want to watch that movie! It’s not the Flying Circus, however Bruce Spence aka the Gyro Captain ends up with a really pretty girlfriend after suffering a bit of the Wasteland’s madness.
