Got the OD on the topsides of the P-39. Just the leading edges to touch up.

I remember doing the vintage Monogram Airacobra kit as a kid. Hand painted the camo too. :giggles:

Yeah I'd like to build that kit too one day. This one is hand painted too :grin:

I'm doing the option for the Aircraft flown by Lt. W McDonough from the 40th FS, 35FG based in Port Moresby New Guinea. Apparently he shot down two Oscars (and another probable) in this aircraft on the 6th Feb 1943. He then shot down another 3 in his P-47 in 1944 before being sadly lost due to an engine failure later that year - after his combat tour was finished which makes it even more tragic.

Decals are in progress.
