What's on your work bench atm ?
Re: What's on your work bench atm ?
Looking good!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Re: What's on your work bench atm ?
Thanks Lyle!
Thanks Brandon - it's not a bad kit at all when you get to it.Brandons_Iron wrote: ↑Wed Feb 11, 2026 9:19 am Looks really good. No time till paint now. I have one of these in the stash for what seems like forever and I really need to kick it to the front.

Got the OD on the topsides of the P-39. Just the leading edges to touch up.

Cheers!

I remember doing the vintage Monogram Airacobra kit as a kid. Hand painted the camo too.

Well the painting is done, as is the gloss coat, now ready for some decals.

Looking good Stuart!
I’m quite curious to see what marking you have chosen for this one.

Re: What's on your work bench atm ?
Thanks Bruce!
I'm doing the option for the Aircraft flown by Lt. W McDonough from the 40th FS, 35FG based in Port Moresby New Guinea. Apparently he shot down two Oscars (and another probable) in this aircraft on the 6th Feb 1943. He then shot down another 3 in his P-47 in 1944 before being sadly lost due to an engine failure later that year - after his combat tour was finished which makes it even more tragic.Stikpusher wrote: ↑Wed Feb 18, 2026 2:48 pm Looking good Stuart!I’m quite curious to see what marking you have chosen for this one.
