The Sopwith Triplanes assembly line! Wow! Herr Fokker’s inspiration for the Dr.I
"Surely I have made my meaning plain? I intend to avenge myself upon you, Admiral. I have deprived your ship of power, and when I swing 'round, I intend to deprive you of your life."
Man you can practically hear the wood cutting tools and smell the sawdust and dope in that lower photo…

Hi Carlos, and also a hello back to Mike above who commented on the Sopwith factory photo, thank you both for following along! Today was a busy day with a portable air conditioner to clean and reduct then trying to avoid the street closures in my neighborhood due to the Iranian Celebration March as I went out minutes before this started, serves me right for not checking the local news.
Carlos, I store small painted parts in resealable jam jars just like my Dad did. His may have been Smuckers but Carlotta likes the French kinds so there you have it. I do mount vertically but in this case I’ll be hand holding the entire piece for maximum control. I’m still planning to start with a close approximation of olive drab then follow it up with my version of PC10.
I use zip lock bags of various sizes for the storage stuff… they come in quite handy. As far as mixing some OD goes, the base ingredient colors are Yellow and Black. Try mixing in various ratios to find a shade you prefer.

A solid system for keeping parts together! I'm going to start the painting process using Mr Hobby Olive Drab 1 (C12) which is a version of ANA or "Army Navy Aeronatical" Color 41:
As a way to recreate this:
Hopefully, this isn't confusing. The OD will serve as a base for the color coat. It's not to be seen, per se. The idea is to create an olive drab base underneath the PC10 brown so that the color more precisely creates the kind of alchemy that happened with the two different colors––the plastic and the initial green paint that I used as I was trying to figure out a proper mix. I still have a color chip chart with five or six versions of this mix before I get the one that I felt worked best. I simply feel that without this intermediary stage color putting "raw PC10 brown" on top of white primer will not create the same kind of slightly darker, more sophisticated canvas appearance that these aircraft possessed.
