Yep, an easy 25 min drive to Bardstown. A lovely, quaint, historic place on its own Louisville is about the distabebto the north. Both have an abundance of bourbon.

I live roughly an hour away from the Texas. I got to go all over the ship before they put her in drydock to fix her. I need to go back when they open it back up if they haven't already.

We have family in Texas City/;.Galveston/Houston area. That’s how we ended up in the area. There are someo good videos of her while dry docked.

I love the old Texas, and have been aboard a few times! Now that she's all fixed up, I've got to drive the 200 miles to Galveston and go once more.

Oh those old Dreadnought style US Battlewagons have such a charm of their own. This will be great to follow.
