I was impressed out how it sucked the decals down onto the details under it as it dried; for that experiment I did brush it on, but only on the small area the decal was being applied to. What do you do to keep dust from getting on the surface while the Future dries?
I put a shoebox over it.....

As much as it's inconsistency out of the airbrush annoys me, I must say it brushed on nicely....but I'm sure as heck not doing to on a whole build I spent hours and hours on...I'm not that brave.

I've been curious about Future as a decal setting. I've heard of it being used before with similar results. The problem for me though is you can't really work the decal and push air out from under it that way...I think I need to test this out on a spare. :hmm:
I tried spraying Future once...ONCE. Was not happy at all. Have gone back to Minwax gloss lacquer. I do use Future under decals though. Brush it in (just like you would micro-set), place decal, paper towel it, just as you normally would. There is usually just a bit left behind, that looks crappy, just dab your finger in some water and wipe it away, careful not to move the decal.

Great work Owl and congrats on that award – well deserved I’d say. :beau:
